Originally from Chicago, James Cademan is no stranger on the local scene of Sarasota, FL where he currently writes, performs, records, and mixes his original music. James' music style denotes a contemporary folk sound as it has an easy listening, melancholy driven pulse. The lyrics are pondering, evocative and full of life experiences, reflective of styles from bands such as 3 Doors Down and Creed.
Each song demonstrates its own unique blend of sounds as James varies the choice of instruments used with his multi-instrumental playing talents. Songs of special note on his current album are “Mountain of Insecurities (Track2) and "Game of Fate (Track 4)”. Additional original songs not yet released on CD which include a full band sound can be heard on JamesCademan.com.
ARTIST DETAILS:
James plays as a solo act with a good mix of original and cover songs, both acoustically performed and with a full recorded music track in which James plays and/or arranges all instrumental parts. In live performances James plays Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and/or Keyboards.
DISCOGRAPHY:
Single: You’re Beautiful Today (Erin’s Song): Released Dec 21, 2010. A song written about James’ daughters experience with an autoimmune disease called Juvenile DermatoMyocitis (JDM). The song is available on iTunes and Amazon.com and all proceeds benefit The CureJM Foundation, a foundation that funds cure research.
Album EP: Unplugged and Away: Released May 10, 2011. An unplugged and acoustic EP of five of James’ most popular songs. Currently available at Fogt’s Music (Sarasota), Five Points Collective (Sarasota), iTunes, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and at JamesCademan.com. Songs from this album have also been put into rotation for airplay on Jango.com, ButterfliesRadio.com, Austrailia128.com and SkopeMag.com.
SHOWS:
James has played several benefit concerts in the Sarasota area including “Save the Gulf Benefit”, “Suncoast Music Fest”, “Historical Society Benefits”, Fraternal Order of Eagles “Humane Society Benefit”, and “Macy’s Miracle Foundation” benefit (funding JDM cure research) and is now volunteer staff writer for Songs of Love Foundation (www.songsoflove.org). Cademan is also a frequent performer at many Sarasota, FL and Bradenton, FL original music venues.

Looking for Drummer
Hey, it's James Cademan! As if I don't already have enough to do managing my solo career I've now partnered up with a phenomenal guitarist to form what we call "King Zombie", a band similar in style to The Black Keys.
